Circulation (Resource Manager)
An efficient method of circulating resources saves you time, ensures students get needed materials, and helps maintain inventory accuracy.
You have several checkout options – To Patron, To Department, To Location, By Class, and To Teacher.
- To Patron is ideal for checking out barcoded and unbarcoded items, as well as consumables, to staff and students for individual use.
- To Department and To Location let you track temporary loans, and relocate resources.
Example: You might loan prisms from the Science department to the Math department for a geometry lesson. You might use To Location to check out a computer cart to the library when the librarian is hosting a computer club meeting.
- By Class requires class schedules to be loaded and lets you check out resources to all students in a class without re-entering the teacher or class information.
- To Teacher lets you check out resources used in a classroom to a teacher. The teacher can either remain responsible for those resources or can reassign them to students.
With the Check In Items feature, you can check in barcoded, unbarcoded, and consumable items.
