Select one of the Dewey differences to discover incorrectly shelved Dewey range titles during Inventory. This option also helps you verify that you did not skip a shelf when scanning books. Options are:

• 100
• 50
• 1
• Don't check

The message is: This item appears to be shelved incorrectly.

Regardless of your selection here, when a call number is out of order, Inventory notifies you. Destiny either alerts you with:

• A message at the top of the page when you are entering barcode numbers directly on the Inventory page.
• A message in the Job Summary, if you have uploaded a barcode file.

When the difference between two consecutive barcode scans is greater than the value you select, there is an additional message: The Difference In The Dewey Numbers Of This And The Previous Item Is Greater than X.
