By default, show limiter options in Basic Search

Select this checkbox if you want the search limiters to appear by default on the Basic tab of Catalog > Library Search or Media Search.

Limiter options are displayed in the Narrow your search to... section of the Library Search page.

To display or hide the limiters, click Show Less link or Show More link , as needed.

The available limiters include:

Location: Selections are controlled by the permission, Search all library sites or Search all district media sites, or both, in Access Levels.
Material Type
Award Winner: Selections are controlled by the Award Winners checkbox on the Edit <district name> page.
Reading Level: Selections are controlled by the Support Reading Level and Interest Level Searches checkbox on the tab of Site Configuration.
Interest Level: Selections are controlled by the Support Reading Level and Interest Level Searches checkbox on the Catalog tab of Site Configuration.
Reading Programs: Each one is controlled by its checkbox under Quiz/Level Based Searches on the Catalog tab of Site Configuration (not available in Media Manager).

Make sure to click Save when you are done.
