| Guidelines |
- The agency creating a record should put its code
in subfield _a.
- The MARC code for the language that the record is created in should be put in subfield _b.
- The agency that creates the record in machine-readable format or
transcribes the record into that format should put its code in subfield
_c.
- Any agency changing or adding data should place its code in subfield
_d.
- The MARC code for the title of the descriptive cataloging rules used in creating the record is put in subfield _e.
- Acquire a USMARC Organization code from the Library of Congress
(such as "IMchF-DB") or use initials of the library (as "Lhs" for
Lincoln High School).
