This field contains the form of communication through which the work is expressed. Content type is a core RDA element and is mandatory in an RDA MARC record. A content type term(s) and/or a content type code(s) may be recorded in this field. Multiple content types may be entered in separate occurrences of the field or if the content types are from the same source vocabulary or code list, they may be recorded in the same field in separate occurrences of subfield a (content type term) and subfield b (content type code).
