Generate a Call Number report
Call number reports help you locate incorrectly cataloged copy records. By correcting these records, call number search results and collection statistics reports are more accurate and complete.
To generate the report:
- Select Reports > Library Reports.
- Under Catalog -- Titles & Copies, click Call Number Reports. The report setup page appears.
- Do any of the following:
- If you run the report at the district, use the For drop-down to choose a specific site.
- From the Show drop-down, select the report you want.
- If you choose Copies with different call numbers or Copies without call numbers, enter the call number range.
Notes:
- You can limit to one call number or a range.
- All call numbers: Leave both fields blank.
- One call number: Enter the same call number in both fields.
- Up to and including a specific call number: Leave the From field blank, and enter a call number in the To field.
- A specific call number and all those after it : Enter a call number in the From field, and leave the To field blank.
- You cannot use wildcards (?, *) in ranges.
- You can limit to one call number or a range.
- Click Run Report.
Report Contents
Copies with call number prefixes
This report includes:
- Call number prefixes, alphabetically
- Titles with that prefix, alphabetically
- Barcodes, in numeric order, of each copy with that title
- A link to edit the copy
Copies with different call numbers
This report includes:
- Titles, alphabetically, that have copies with different call numbers
- Each title, listing each call number and barcode for all the copies of that title
- Copies, in call number order
- A link to edit each copy
Copies without call numbers
This report includes:
- Titles, alphabetically, that have copies without a call number
- The barcode for each copy without a call number
- A link to edit each copy
| Note: Because Import Titles and conversions may include copy records without call numbers, you may want to run this report after adding copy records. |
